GST Calculator
A GST calculator adds or removes Goods and Services Tax from an amount using the official GST Council slab rates, and splits the tax into CGST/SGST (intra-state) or IGST (inter-state) components.
Add GST: Final Price = Base Price × (1 + GST% / 100). Remove GST (from an inclusive price): Base Price = Inclusive Price / (1 + GST% / 100).
Input: ₹10,000 base price at 18% GST
Result: GST amount ₹1,800 → final price ₹11,800 (CGST ₹900 + SGST ₹900 for an intra-state sale)
How do I know which GST slab applies to my product or service?
GST Council-notified slabs (0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%) are assigned by HSN/SAC code — check the official GST rate finder for your specific category, as this calculator applies the slab you select.
What's the difference between CGST+SGST and IGST?
CGST+SGST split applies to sales within the same state (each half going to the central and state government); IGST applies to inter-state sales, going entirely to the central government for later settlement.
GST Calculator: how it works
A GST calculator converts between pre-tax and post-tax prices at any slab, splitting the tax into CGST and SGST for intra-state supply.
Formula
GST amount = base × rate / 100. To strip GST from an inclusive price: base = inclusive × 100 / (100 + rate).
