Price proximity to these levels, combined with momentum indicators and EMA alignment, generates a daily STRONG/WEAK/NEUTRAL signal. Signals are updated every day after NSE market close.

How do alerts work?

Go to Alerts in the sidebar and create one: choose a stock ticker, alert type (Price Above ₹, Price Below ₹, STRONG Signal, or WEAK Signal), and optionally a target price. When triggered, you receive a push notification on your device. Push notifications must be enabled in Settings → Notifications. Plus supports 20 active alerts; Pro supports 50.

No. MintX is a research and analysis platform — not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Our signals are generated from Fibonacci analysis, EMA alignment, and momentum models, and are evaluated against performance benchmarks regularly. However, every trade carries market risk, and no system can guarantee a profit on every position. Your trading decisions are your own responsibility. We strongly recommend assessing your risk tolerance before acting on any signal. If you made a loss, we are sorry — but that is not grounds for a refund under our non-refundable subscription policy.

It overlays a CE (Call) and PE (Put) Open Interest histogram directly beneath the price chart so you can see where options positioning is concentrated. A PCR (Put-Call Ratio) line is also plotted, helping you quickly gauge market sentiment — a rising PCR suggests increasing bearish hedging (contrarian bullish), while a falling PCR indicates bullish complacency. Enable the overlay via the chart toolbar on any F&O stock.

What are Walk-forward, Parameter sweep, and Monte Carlo?

Walk-forward (Plus+) splits the same backtest by calendar year so you can see if a rule's edge held up consistently rather than coming from one lucky year. Parameter sweep (Pro) runs a rule across a grid of historical settings and ranks which performed best in the past — not a recommendation for the future. Monte Carlo (Pro) reshuffles a strategy's own real historical trades thousands of times to show the range of outcomes those exact trades could have produced in a different order.

Why does a target now show '+6% over ~8 days' instead of just '+6%'?

A percentage without its time period is easy to misread as an annual-scale figure. MintX's median hit prediction resolves in about 8 trading days, not a year — so every target return is now paired with the actual holding period it was measured over. These figures are never annualized or extrapolated to a yearly rate, since a short-period return does not reliably repeat at the same pace over a year.

What do the LONG and SHORT badges on predictions mean?

LONG means the price is expected to rise (the historical default, since predictions have been long-only to date); SHORT means the price is expected to fall. The badge is shown wherever a prediction appears — the stock Predictor page, the dashboard predictions widget, and prediction history tables. Short selling is legal in India, but naked short selling isn't — multi-day SHORT exposure is normally taken via F&O (futures/puts) or SLB (Securities Lending & Borrowing), not a plain cash-equity sale.

It's a deterministic parser, not an AI model, and it only narrows which stocks a watch rule covers — it doesn't place trades or generate recommendations, so it doesn't change Autopilot's non-advisory, non-SEBI-registered status.

It's paired with real trailing-week moves in crude oil, USD/INR, VIX and Nifty for context, plus live headlines. There's no hand-authored severity or impact rating layered on top.

Why not just ask ChatGPT or Claude for stock analysis?

You can, but a general-purpose LLM has no live NSE feed, no price history to actually compute against, and no memory of whether its last call was right — ask it the same question twice and you can get two different answers, with no way to audit either one. MintX's signals, Fibonacci levels, EMA alignment, and prediction targets are computed by a deterministic quantitative pipeline over real historical price data — the same inputs always produce the same output, and every prediction is logged and scored against what the stock actually did (see our Accuracy Scorecard). MintX does not use any LLM, anywhere in the platform — not for signals, not for news summaries, not even for the search bar or the in-app assistant, which are both rule-based.
