Your contribution (12%)₹20,61,811
Employer EPF contribution₹16,86,961
Employer EPS (pension) contribution₹3,74,850
Total interest earned₹62,04,845
Estimated EPF corpus₹99,53,616

Interest: ₹62,04,845
Contributions: ₹37,48,771

Simplified month-on-month simulation with interest applied monthly — EPFO actually credits interest annually on a monthly-weighted running balance, so real EPFO statements will differ slightly. EPS (pension) corpus above is your employer's contribution to your future pension, separate from the EPF lump sum shown here.

EPF Calculator

An EPF (Employee Provident Fund) calculator projects your retirement corpus from combined employee and employer PF contributions, growing at the government-notified EPF interest rate with assumed annual salary increments.

Formula

Each year, contributions (a fixed % of basic+DA from both employee and employer, subject to the statutory wage ceiling) are added and the running balance compounds annually at the notified EPF rate; basic salary is assumed to grow by the entered annual increment.

Worked example

Input: ₹25,000/month basic+DA, 10% annual increment, 25 years to retirement, ~8.25% EPF rate

Result: Projected EPF corpus at retirement combining both employee and employer contributions plus compounded interest

Frequently asked

Is EPF interest taxable?

EPF interest is tax-free as long as your own contribution stays within ₹2.5 lakh/year (₹5 lakh if there's no employer contribution) — interest on any excess is taxable.

Can I withdraw EPF before retirement?

Yes, under specific conditions (job loss, house purchase, medical need) — but early withdrawal within 5 years of continuous service can trigger tax implications.

EPF Calculator: how it works

An EPF calculator projects the retirement corpus from employee and employer provident-fund contributions, which grow with salary increments and compound at the EPFO rate.

Formula

Monthly contribution = 12% of basic from employee plus the employer's share; the running balance compounds at the declared annual rate.
